Macuray™ is a professional 2-in-1 system combining surgical smoke evacuation with cryo air cooling. It is designed to support professional laser treatments by helping remove treatment-generated smoke, odours and airborne particulates while also providing targeted cold-air cooling to improve patient comfort.

A surgical smoke evacuator is designed to draw smoke and airborne particles away from the treatment area during procedures that generate plume or vapour. Macuray uses a dedicated extraction arm positioned close to the treatment site to help capture this material and pass it through the system’s filtration process.

Macuray™ combines two functions that would traditionally require separate pieces of equipment. For clinics offering laser treatments, this can simplify the treatment-room setup, reduce the amount of equipment positioned around the treatment bed and give practitioners immediate access to both smoke evacuation and powerful cold-air cooling from one system. 

Each function can still be used independently according to the treatment being performed.

The Macuray cryo cooling system can deliver cold air down to approximately -20°C ±5°C. The cooling function can be directed towards the treatment area to help cool the skin and support patient comfort before, during or after suitable laser procedures.

Macuray is designed to complement professional laser treatments including CO₂ Fractional Laser, Q-Switch Laser and PICO Laser. Its smoke evacuation and cooling functions make it particularly useful where treatment-generated plume or skin cooling need to be considered as part of the procedure.

Yes. The two technologies perform separate roles, allowing the practitioner to use smoke evacuation, cryo cooling or both according to the treatment being carried out and the clinic’s preferred protocol.

Yes. The Macuray™ smoke evacuation system uses replaceable filters, which should typically be changed every 6 to 12 months, depending on how frequently the machine is used.

For clinics in the UK, Macuray™ will be delivered, set up and demonstrated by a member of the Pure Tone Aesthetics team.

For customers outside the UK, Macuray™ can be shipped worldwide by courier. International shipping is quoted separately based on the destination, so please contact us with your delivery location and we’ll provide a shipping quotation.

Yes. We support clinics with the setup of Macuray™ and can help ensure the system is correctly positioned and ready to use alongside your existing laser equipment.

Yes. Macuray™ is very straightforward to use, but we will still train you and your team when the machine is delivered and set up at your clinic. We’ll take you through the controls, settings, smoke evacuation and cryo cooling functions so you are confident using the system from day one.

Ongoing support is also always available from the Pure Tone Aesthetics team if you need help or have any questions after installation.

Macuray™ combines surgical smoke evacuation and cryo air cooling within one professional system. The cryo cooling function can deliver temperatures down to approximately -20°C ±5°C, with airflow of 45 CFM and speeds of up to 73 mph.

The machine measures 340 × 400 × 910 mm (W × D × H), increasing to approximately 1,310 mm high with the removable pole fitted, and has a net weight of 35 kg.

Macuray™ operates on 220–230V AC, 50/60Hz, with power consumption of 450W for the cooling system and 1,100W for the smoke evacuator. Vacuum power is rated at 2,400 mmH₂O.

It also features adjustable treatment arms and foot-switch control for smoke evacuation and is designed to support professional laser treatments including fractional CO₂, Q-Switch and PICO procedures.
